Ece Akdoğan

Information & Communication Outreach

Ece is assisting the preparation of periodicals and strategy and reporting processes at S360. She completed Biology degree at Istanbul University and spent an exchange year at Justus Liebig University in Germany. While continuing her undergraduation study she did an internship in molecular ecology field at University of Bayreuth in Germany. Upon completing her degree, she started a graduation study at Boğaziçi University Environmental Sciences Institute and is currently writing her thesis on “Monitoring biodiverstiy in Turkish Seas using eDNA and marine sustainability”. Ece voluntarily took place in the preparation of climate change and sustainable living newsletters at a sustainability platform based in Istanbul. Before she has joined S360, she participated in a project at University of Cambridge on monitoring biodiversity in freshwaters.
Ece is interested in sustainable marine governance, conservation biology, sustainable agriculture and social gender equality.
