He was born in 1964. Studied in Yıldız University (İstanbul) Mechanical Engineering Department and received his M.Sc.
degree on mechanical construction in 1990. Later, in 2003, he became guest student in the Social Anthropology Department master program of Yeditepe University (İstanbul).
In 1989, he began his nature conservation and sustainability career in the not-for-profit sector, by being a volunteer of the Turkish Society for the Protection of Nature (DHKD).
In the following years, Nafiz Güder has worked mostly in the not-for-profit sector and in international organizations on nature conservation, strengthening civil society organizations, reproductive health and family planning, sustainability, energy, the EU accession, rights and education. He wrote guides on NGO capacity building, and translated books on ancient philosophy and Far East philosophy. Nafiz Güder is interested in ecology, philosophy and environmental justice.
