Research and Analytics

Sırça contributes to THINK360 studies within S360 by carrying out research and analytics. She believes that living in an ever-connected globe, at the age of Anthropocene, not only yields opportunities in front of individuals, but also bestows certain responsibilities upon them. This is why she has chosen to devote her academic and professional career to the climate-development nexus. Among the areas of her research expertise and interest are climate change policies, governance and finance, international negotiations, natural resource and environmental economics, environmental and social impact assessments, ecosystem services, political ecology and economy and climate ethics and justice.
Prior to crossing roads with S360, she held various research and project assistantships at the European Hydrogen Association in Brussels, the Delegation of the EU to the USA - Transport, Energy and Environment Section in Washington, D.C., the Regional Environmental Center (REC) Turkey in Ankara, as well as the Earth System Governance and the Global Environmental Justice research groups in Norwich. She is one of the co-founders of where she continues her duties as coordinator and author.
Upon completing her undergraduate education with a BA in Social and Political Sciences from Sabancı University (2008), she earned an MA in European Public Affairs from Maastricht University (2011) and an MSc in Climate Change and International Development from the University of East Anglia (2015).
